Preshow Entertainment: Jonny Quest (The original ones, not the ones where he used Palm Pilots).
We saw RUMBLE IN THE BRONX, starring Jackie Chan. I suppose the working title was "Rumble Anywhere But The Bronx", since, besides a few shots of NYC, it seems to have been shot in Canada and maybe China? I don't recall mountains and a lake in the Bronx. That aside, it's Jackie Chan, so who cares. Action heroes should all take note...we love you when you're lovable. And who is more lovable than Jackie (Jacky)?
It's not worth it to go into story because again, who cares? It's all about Jackie and his skill and his creativity. There's not much to give away here, except it has a hovercraft. The bad guys all look like Mad Max rejects, or punk kids from "Death Wish 2079". I guess they watch a lot of bad American movies and think this is how bad guys look and act.
A lot of Chan's films end with outtakes of him getting hurt, stunts going wrong, and people being loaded onto ambulances. I've heard a lot of these outtakes are faked for the film...but I'm not sure what to believe. They all look pretty real to me. Anyone know?
One more thing- If you've never seen a Jackie Chan movie, you really should. In fact, you really MUST.
